The Chaminade Esto Vir Auction is largest event for the school. The proceeds from the Auction go directly to the operating budget of the school, offsetting the difference between tuition and the actual costs of educating a Chaminade gentleman.
This year’s event was the best EVER – together we raised net proceeds of $326,000 for the young men who attend Chaminade. The "Fund A Need" portion of the Auction raised $145,000 to support our fleet transportation for Athletics and Resident Students.
The auction also helps build our Esto Vir Scholarship Fund. The Esto Vir Scholarship was established in 2006 and is awarded to an incoming seventh grader who demonstrates, on a daily basis, the true meaning of the school motto, "Esto Vir" (be a man). The student must be of strong moral character, a leader in his class and contribute positively to the spirit and life of the school. He should also be in good standing academically and involved in co-curricular activities. Proceeds from the $10,000 raffle and Cork Pull benefited the Esto Vir Scholarship Fund ($10,225).
